After earning my Social Work degree from UNCW, I worked part time as a residential counselor while I stayed home with my children. While my children were in elementary school, I worked part time in the same Church preschool program my own children attended. As my children got older, I worked full-time in a child development center. The ages I have worked with are from infants to four-year olds. I love working with children and enjoyed building the curriculum around the Seasons of the year and incorporating as much of our natural environment into our daily lesson plans. "Learning through Play" was a theme I worked hard to incorporate into our daily lesson plans. I have over 8 years experience working part-time and full-time as a medical secretary. Currently, I have worked at Wilmington Health for over 5 years. My husband and I have always felt our most important job was to raise our children in a Christian home. Our children are both students in College and I would love to provide another family, with a safe and loving environment for their children. I grew up in Wilmington and moved to Leland over 15 years ago when my husband and I bought our first home. We love the growth Leland is experiencing and enjoy just how beautiful it is here. I trust that I would be a blessing to a family who will be trusting the care of their most precious little ones with me. I have taken and passed the Early Childhood Credentialing test and numerous continuing education classes when I was employed in child care. I have also taken CPR classes.
