Greetings Families! :o) My name is Briana & I am 26 years old. I live in the Raleigh area. I have completed my Bachelor's degree through UNC Greensboro and I am the owner of Birth and Beyond, LLC currently providing the following services: birth doula, postpartum doula, private childbirth education. and placenta encapsulation. I obtained my NC Early Childhood Credential by completing EDU-119 at Wake Technical Community College in 2016. I am the oldest sibling of four children; my brothers are 19 and 14, & my sister is 3. Both of my brothers have ADHD and my oldest brother suffers from asthma and dyslexia. I was more of a parent than a sibling, because of the age difference - and this really motivated me to want to work with children! I am CPR and CNA certified in NC. I have my own vehicle and auto insurance. My background check and Read more motor vehicle record are clean as a whistle! :) I am originally from Massachusetts where I graduated high school. I participated in a variety of activities which included coaching recreational sports for ages 2-12. I did over 2000 hours working with kids as part of a 40 hour community service requirement to graduate from high school. I come from a community-service based family with 3 of my 4 young grandparents having their degrees in early childhood education. My aunt also owned an in home daycare in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts from 1990-2011 so I was always surrounded by children growing up. My summers were community-service and family based. I traveled all over the United States and into Mexico to perform community service, particularly with children performing activities such as reading, teaching math, and stressing the importance of outdoor exercise. I love the outdoors, especially swimming. My specialization is with newborns, infants, and toddlers. My interest sparked from traveling with grandmother and seeing different maternal-fetal outcomes in different cultures. This is the primary reason for my doula work! In addition, I love being around the growing, developing future (your children!) and being a part of their little lives is personally gratifying for me. Please review my profile. Briana was a fantastic find for our trip in the Durham area for the weekend. We needed someone to stay with our two toddlers in our hotel room while we went out for the evening​. She was excellent at communicating from the initial contact through references, confirmations and throughout the night. She fed both kids dinner, did bedtime routine and got them both asleep in the one hotel room. They had a great night and my older son, 2.5, even asked about where she was in the morning. We absolutely recommend her services to anyone in the area.

I have used Briana a few times to babysit my 3 year old daughter and we both love her! My daughter feels completely comfortable with her and so do I. I will definitely keep using Briana for all my babysitting needs.

Briana has been amazing! She has sat for my 1.5 year old about a dozen times so far. He normally cries when I leave to go somewhere, but whenever Briana shows up, he is all smiles! She is reliable, punctual, and always confirms timing with me the day before or day of before I even have a chance to, which I greatly appreciate. She also keeps in contact with me throughout the evening when I am gone. She has always kept all our scheduled dates, and has also helped me out last minute a few times when I've been in a jam. Even more importantly, my son has a blast with her and I know he is in great hands while I am gone!

Cancelled meeting set up to meet my daughter the morning of, she offered her availability the next week, and then did not respond. Based on other reviews and my experience, may not be very reliable.

We were in contact several times and I contacted her references, which checked out. She was supposed to come at 6pm and then cancelled via text about someone running into her car. This was at 5:30pm. Then she never returned my concerned text and I never heard from her again. We had lined her up to babysit over a week before and had dinner reservations. Very disappointing.
