I have worked with children for almost twelve years, am CPR certified, and really love what I do. I believe in lots of outside play and activities to always keep the mind going. I enjoy cooking and love finding new ways for kids to learn. With past jobs I have made up lesson plans for the summer months to make sure their skills are kept sharp but they are having fun doing it. The lessons I have made have been for a 2-3 years old and have made several for a child who was 6-10. I know how to swim and enjoy the summer activities that Raleigh has to offer. I have also held the role as a “mommy helper” in which I performed tasks like doing the grocery shopping, helped with laundry, and performed household tasks.  I helped with the raising of my cousins, we have always been a Read more very close family so I have been there for them since the day they were born. I have always helped with vacation bible school, volunteer activities, and have always worked as a Sunday night teacher in a church near Durham. A few years ago I was accepted into a program in which I was asked to go over seas and go into the largest orphanage in the world and spend Christmas with them. I would like to have an open and up front communication line with parents.  I believe in a strong line of communication to ensure most productive and safe enviornment for your child. I am available for long weekends and travel.  I have been working with the same family for almost 7 years now and unfortunately he has gotten too big for a nanny.   References available upon request!
