My name is Jessica D. I’m currently a full time nanny for a family with two children (4&7). I also have a 5mo old son. I am considering switching families for a few reasons. The biggest one being proximity to home. I spend roughly 2 hours a day in my car with the baby. It feels like such a huge task. I am located near Aloha Safari Park (Zoo). I am looking for a position that will allow me to bring my son with me. I have several years of experience. This current family for 3 years, the last for 3 years, and more before that. I also worked for the O’Neal School in Southern Pines as a pre-K 3 assistant for a few years. I’ve only left jobs to take ones that offered me better opportunities. I prefer to be a long term caregiver. I feel that I grow Read more close to my kiddos and enjoy spending time with them as much as they do with me. I have my associates degree in early childhood and pride myself on trying to meet children where they are while helping them grow and learn. Often times I try to think outside of the box to get the job done. I believe that creativity is the best way to capture their attention and encourage their growth. No one likes to be bored. I also believe good manners are important and having boundaries adds to a happy healthy environment. I could go on and on but the most important thing is that I always care deeply for the kids I nanny for and I treat them like my own as much as I can.
