I am the Mom of a wonderful 17 year old young man who will be starting college in the fall and a Wife of a retired New York Narcotics Detective. We bought our dream home and moved to North Carolina in 2010 when my husband retired. My career was in the fashion industry as an Assistant Buyer and later as a Collections Manager in the Medical field. When my son was born I decided I wanted a less demanding position that would work with my husbands schedule and allow me to be home with my son when he started school, that is when I found my second most rewarding career at our local school district in Catering and as Head cook for 10 years. Although I was no where near retirement these where always our future plans. I chose not to work when we moved here but instead be more Read more involved and available during the transition and during my sons critical middle and High School years. Fast-forward, here I am 6 years later and extremely proud of a job well done and consider this my #1 most rewarding career, even though I have never been paid to be a private Nanny I definitely am experienced in child care and development and have volunteered my services to young Military family's in our neighborhood and have always had a house full of kids.
