I started baby sitting 7 years ago. I have sat for many families with children whose ages range from 6 months to 12 years. I have the most experience with children ages 2-4 and 1st graders. Being the youngest of 3 and the only girl in my family made me naturally become a mother hen. I have always loved playing with and looking after children younger then myself. From the time I was 12-14 I would watch my neighbor's two daughters 1-2 times a week. When I was 14 she had a son and I would watch him also. In the summer of 2010 I was a summer nanny for a 4 year old boy. My responsibilities included breakfast and lunch prep and light tidying up. I have worked at the Henry Doorly Zoo in the giftshop as a cashier since May of 2012. Although I enjoy my job, a Read more nanny position would better fit my personality and offer more consistent hours. Since I have a love for children I have decided to pursue a nanny career. In order to start for you, I will have to put in my two weeks notice at my current job. I will work for you any days I have off in the mean time. I know that I don't have much recent experience with being a nanny, but I am looking for someone to give me that chance. Here is a little about myself. I was homeschooled for all of my school years and I have my GED. I am not CPR or first aid certified but I am signed up to take "Advanced Child Care Training w/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED" on July 25th at the Red Cross. I love playing games, arts and crafts, reading and being outdoors. I took tap, jazz and ballet for 13 years. I love animals and my favorite is a hedgehog. I recently went to Japan and am considering taking Japanese II from September-November at Metro. It is a Tuesday/Thursday night class.
