Hello! My experience in childcare includes working as a Children's Librarian at Bennington Public Library, where I conducted story-times, ran children's programming, and gave reading suggestions for children and families. I was an assistant preschool teacher at a nature based preschool in Vermont, where there was a central focus on having children be outside regardless of weather, everyday, and helping them to be autonomous in their daily tasks (ie. zipping their own zippers, voicing their needs, and communicating well with adults and other children). I am a huge proponent of Montessori and Reggio-Emilia education philosophies, and would put great emphasis on being outside, connecting with their own creativity, and learning through doing! I think children deserve to be heard and respected and I value their opinions and childish wisdom.
