Hi my name is Lauren Gagne. I currently live where I grew up and went to school in Concord, NH. Starting in high school I took up several nanny and babysitting jobs and fell in love with child development and teaching. I graduated from NHTI in 2015; with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. After college I worked at three different childcare centers as a preschool, infant, and toddler teacher. I have worked with children ages’ infant to teen and prefer to work with infants. Taking care of infants is not just a job for me it is a passion. I am now seeking a live-in position as a full-time nanny in or near NYC. I am looking for a long-term placement where I can grow with a family. I enjoy being creative and coming up with invitations that engage the children’s senses and further their learning. I like Read more to cook, organize, and play outside. I have a driver’s license and passport. I am First Aid and CPR/AED certified. I am passionate about teaching infants and that passion is what makes me confident that I will succeed in being the best nanny I can be. I am able to respect each child as an individual and foster their development by making the most of their strengths and helping them overcome their weaknesses. I value relationships and doing what it takes to build a strong and trusting relationship with an infant. I am patient and appreciate process over product. I understand redirection and guidance towards positive behavior. I am flexible and open to change. I enjoy being creative and coming up with invitations that engage the children’s senses and further their learning. I value respectful, responsive and reciprocal caregiving. I also value open communication with the parents. I value the importance of workshops and networking to seek out new information first hand as this career is ever changing. Early learning lasts a lifetime. I believe in quality practice with meaningful teaching. Working with young children is my passion.
