Meet Abigail

Hello, my name is Abigail many people call me Abby. I sometimes come off as being shy but once I start to talk and feel comfortable in my situation and environment I become more myself. I started babysitting about four years ago when I wanted a job and babysitting was all I was qualified for, so I took the babysitting course and was first aide CPR certified. I started when I was 12 and my little sister was 10, my parents would leave me for short periods of time. Then summer came when I was fifteen and I put out a flyer around the neighborhood wanting to be a mother’s helper. It then turned into many babysitting jobs. I realized I enjoyed playing and caring for young children and continued babysitting throughout high school. My experiences include caring for one child at a time up to three children at one Read more time. The ages I have cared for ranged from 6mo. to 10 years old. I pride myself in multi-tasking and giving the children my undivided attention. I do not like to sit and do nothing. I have found myself whenever I have been babysitting and the children are napping or playing on their own, I do household chores like picking up after the children, dishes from snack or meals or folding or putting away laundry without being asked. I also don’t mind running errands or taking the children to the park or walks in nice weather. I think of myself as being a very flexible and pleasant person to work with. I have grown up always helping my parents around our house with daily chores. Where ever I go people joke that children tend to gravitate towards me. It makes me feel happy being around families because family is very important to me. I hope I fit into your family and I look forward to an opportunity to meet with you soon.
