Hi! My name is Alexis but everybody calls me Lexi. First things first, I am CPR and First Aid certified and have 12 college credits, 3 of them being in a child development course, and I am currently working towards my associates degree in ECE. A little about my journey with working with children- I've babysat for children all around town and in my family, for years. I decided during my sophomore year into my junior year, to work with a local daycare in town, helping assist with anything she needed; diaper changing, occasional potty training, bottle feeding, snack time, nap time, and play time. After that, into my junior and senior year, I worked at an after school program with all different age groups; assisting them with homework, providing a snack, and playing games. I also worked as a classroom aide/substitute teacher at a head start, helping with; snack Read more time, nap time, collaborating with other staff members on activities and ideas, and much more. I was a nanny to a nine month old boy, and we learned so much together; turning book pages, crawling, standing up, and so much more. I was working as an assistant teacher in a nursery class (ages 6 weeks old to 2 years old) and now I am subbing at a few different centers but I miss nannying. Although working with children can be a difficult job for many, it has always been a rewarding job for me. I love working with children of all different age groups, helping them learn and grow, and reach to their best potential. I have many references if wanted or needed. I look forward to hearing back!
