Hi there! My name is Josie Knapp, I'm 21, and from New Hampshire. I am very much looking forward to moving to New York! I started working with children at age 12 as a mother’s helper and I have been consistently babysitting and nannying ever since. Throughout high school I worked at my mom's daycare where we cared for babies and children between the ages of 3 months - 4 years old. During the latter half of my high school years I was also a nanny for a 3 year old girl. I had the opportunity to travel with her and her family, I also assisted with light housework, scheduling, and bringing their child to preschool and extracurricular activities. After graduating high school, I chose to take a gap year which I used to travel to Sweden to be an au pair for a sweet 5 month old baby girl. Read more Since that experience I have taken some online college classes and am now finishing up a full-time nanny job for 3 busy young girls. Throughout all of my years working with children and their families, I have gained many skills pertaining to time management, organization, and adapting to new settings. I also take pride in my personal strengths in being a patient, caring, lively, and reliable caretaker. The most important part about being a nanny to me is being a place of warmth and safety for your children.
