Meet Kristin

My husband and I are soon to be empty-nesters as our youngest heads to college this fall and I have found myself wanting to switch gears to a job that allows me to be active, in the moment, and connecting with young children. I started my career in childcare, then did some child protection work for the state of NH (abuse and neglect investigations) and more recently an eclectic mix of hospitality/customer service jobs. I miss young children; their curiosity, their kind and tender hearts, their enthusiasm, and their ability to cut straight to what is important. I have been married for 26 years, lived in NH for 21 of them. We have two children; Benjamin, who is 22, a college graduate living in Portland, ME, and Joy, 17, who heads to UNH this fall. Both of our kids are good humans; kind, compassionate, forward-driven, and community minded. I have Read more a BA in Psychology, with a concentration on Child Development. I am healthy, active, a non-smoker, with a progressive attitude and a genuine interest in people and their stories. From my years of experience in formal childcare settings, I have a gauntlet of songs and activities in my reserves, and I'd love to talk to you if you want a supportive, encouraging person to help you keep your kids engaged and happy while you attend to your other responsibilities.
