For the past three years, I have been a part time staff member in the childcare center at the Somerset Hills YMCA. In this position I have cared for and taught children ages 6 months to 13 years. During the course of my employment, I learned how to motivate children, comfort them when they are upset, and communicate effectively with families. My formal training includes CPR and first aid certification as well as disease prevention. I am also an exercise science major at Towson University and an avid runner. I am very interested in nutrition and healthy living, as well as child development. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and animals and love to share my energetic personality with them.
