To Whom It May Concern: I am applying for a Nanny position. I completed my Bachelor of Arts from the College of Saint Elizabeth in May 2001, and in July 2007 I received my Standard Certification. I have a passion for teaching and working with children. My enthusiasm for learning is contagious; I would love the opportunity to interview in person. Since 2001 I have worked in several teaching positions where I have enjoyed meeting and working with many varied personalities. I have had wonderful experiences teaching preschool and fourth grade. One aspect of being a great teacher is having excellent organization skills, which include lesson planning, gathering materials, and ensuring that all types of assessment are completed in a timely manner. I feel these are all strong points of mine. At the present time I am teaching preschool children for The Jersey City Public School. My philosophy on how Read more children learn is simple; I believe children learn through modeling and hands on experiences. My role as a teacher is to assist and lend a helping hand. I have found this method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching for me. I also believe strongly in parent participation and involvement in education. Interaction with parents is vital to the development, and an aspect of teaching I immensely enjoy. I encourage parents to participate in at least one classroom activity throughout the year in order to create a connection between home and school environments. My Bachelor of Arts in Art allows me to bring creativity, transformation and harmony to my students. I use all types of art media to facilitate and explore all areas in a classroom which all students can participate. Through this I give students the opportunity to enjoy making art as I have.
