Hello, my name is Maureen. First and foremost, I'm a mom of two teenage boys. I'm also a Special Education teacher who recently returned to the field of education after staying home to raise my children for 14 years. I'm finding the politics of education are overshadowing my joy of working with children, which is why I am now seeking a position in child care. I recently had my boys at the pediatrician and while sitting in the waiting room, I found myself overjoyed and grinning from ear to ear as I got waves and smiles from all of the toddlers. I knew at that moment that I needed to seek a change in my life. I am hands-on, enjoy crafting and I'm not worried about making a mess (though I will always clean it up ;) I also enjoy the outdoors and would make sure your little one got Read more lots of fresh air when the weather is nice. I enjoy reading and find it is an important of every day for children. Though I have not had experience as a nanny, I do have life-long experience with children, raising my own and working with students from pre-k through high school.
