We had hired Ambriosa as a full-time babysitter for both our kids. We had a phone interview that was positive and she even came to our house to meet us and play with our kids for a couple of hours. She seemed really good and eager to work with us, but then she didn't show up on her first day and gave us a bogus family emergency reason. She promised to show up on her second day but again did not show up and proceeded to block my number from her phone. Even though the one reference she gave us had nothing bad to say about her, Ambriosa failed to give us her background check which made us uneasy considering we had already hired her for the job. She had also claimed that her previous employer wasn’t paying her on time, which I think she is true because she probably ghosted them too. This is unprofessional and untrustworthy behavior and I would not recommend her for future nanny/babysitting positions given this behavior and our experience. If she says anything along those lines to you make sure to ask to talk to her last employer and I'll tell you about this experience bluntly. If you talk to somebody else and notice that they're not being fully transparent, then know you're being conned.
