My name is Katie.I am a senior English major, Art History minor at Mount Holyoke College where I maintain a 3. 78 GPA. I'm writing to enquire about your part time child care position. I currently have class on Monday - Wednesday afternoons, leaving my Thursday and Fridays entirely open. In terms of learning about me, I have been a Girl Scout for 14 years, so I am more than capable of bringing the fun via crafts, campfire songs, and more. I currently volunteer as an ESL tutor for a refugee family in Chicopee, and run a activist poetry organization at Mount Holyoke College. I've traveled cross-country in an RV as a nanny for family friends, as well as worked at a children's theater camp. I also have experience working with children of all ability levels, as my younger brother is on the autism spectrum. I have also worked as Read more a caregiver in the past. I spent this summer working at my hometown's public library, and I even write children's books. I've been babysitting since I turned 13 for kids of all ages, from newborns to preteens. In high school I was a nanny for two boys, one newborn (until when he was 3) and his grade-school age brother. I am CPR and First-Aid certified, drive a minivan (with a spotless driving record), and am a non-smoker. Kids love my fun attitude, and commitment to balancing structure and silliness.
