Hello All! My name is India Smith. First and foremost , I want to give a little on my academic and professional background. I graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelors degree in Health Science and a minor in Psychology. I plan on continuing my education to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker , so that I am able to help families in the healthcare sector . Prior to COVID . I was a birth doula at Penn University. I absolutely love helping families, teaching and making people feel at ease! Since there was so much in jeopardy with being present in delivery rooms at such a unprecedented time. I changed my career path to case management. Currently I work for Bayada pediatrics and Virtua part time. On a less serious note, I am a very creative, fun, loving individual. I am the oldest of 5. My parents both work Read more really hard and left a lot of responsibility on me to help with my siblings. Being nurturing and having the ability to handle young children comes naturally. Still to this day I take time out to do many activities with my younger siblings. Especially the youngest who is 6 and full of energy. I love planing out days with creative activities and making schedules to keep children entertained. I have been a sitter for a few families working at the hospital and gave an abundance of support to birthing families I worked with. Once you meet me in person, I’m am confident you will feel as though I am family!
