I am a college student studying to become an elementary school teacher. I feel comfortable being around children, and I find they feel the same around me due to my friendly and outgoing personality. I enjoy working with children and I will be able to help them with their homework if needed. I have experience in tutoring and I want children to feel as though someone can help them, but also that they can do the work on their own with a little encouragement and effort. I was also able to care for and teach children when I worked at a summer camp, “Safety Town”, where I was an art teacher for two summers, and a group leader for one. Having that experience has helped me learn how to take and provide direction, as well as how to resolve conflicts between children.
