I have been a nanny for 10 years, I am 47 years old and live in East Orange. A little bit about my experience. I worked with a family for 3 years taking care of a 6 week and 3 year olds for 3 years. Then I worked with another family taking care of a 2 month old, 2 years later a second was welcomed, there I worked for 3 years . I also ran a small daycare at my house where I took care of kids of relatives and friends for a few months, after that I worked as a babysitter for a 3 year old for 10 months. At my last job which ended in March of this year I was entrusted with the care of a 3 month old then, a year and a half later another child was born. I absolutely enjoyed and loved the experiences Read more as they were all unique. At all my jobs I took the kids to the library, parks, classes( music, arts), hosted or took them to play dates, accompanied the parents to pediatric appointments. I read, sang, made puzzles, and other age appropriate activities. My other responsibilities were their meals, laundry and proper hygiene. I am CPR certified, did a workshop in Professional Infant Nanny & Baby Nurse where I received a certificate , did a short course on A Joyful Life of Caregiving and also did a Nanny Basic Skills Exam where the passing grade is 70% and scored 87.5%
