I am an honest, caring, responsible, friendly and vegan 47-year-old married woman who moved from Spain to NJ in December of 2011. I come from a big family (I am the youngest of 8 siblings!) and I grew up with small kids always around me (nephews, nieces and neighbors). Where to begin... My love for children and first "babysitting" job started way back when I was only 11yrs old caring for a neighbor's 4-month-old all by myself! (Times sure were different, yes?) By the time I graduated HS, I was babysitting EVERYONE in the neighborhood and continued to do so for neighbors and family way beyond my college years! I spent 13yrs as an Art teacher and private (non-Art) tutor for children aged 3-14 in a fast paced environment, I’ve been an Aide in PreK3-1st grade, and I have nannied for 2 families. From many years in the Education field, as well as my babysitting/nannying experience, I'd say that I've developed quite a few skills when it comes to understanding the needs of a child, as well as the patience and kindness required to help them learn and grow in a safe environment. I hold a B.F.A. and I am educated in basic first aid including Epi-Pens, CPR, and AED machines. I am currently available for Mon.-Fri. childcare and would prefer a FT position. I am a bit of a nervous driver and am NOT comfortable taxiing children to activities or to/from school. I'd be best suited working with infants or younger children, I would prefer to devote my time to one child, and can even offer Pre-K-Kdg preparation.
