Over the past several years, I have had wonderful and rewarding experiences as a mentor and care taker for children. In terms of child care experience, I have watched families with children from several age groups in one household, and I have cared for children with multi-needs and physical disabilities. In terms of mentor ship, I was an assistant swim coach for my community’s outdoor pool for four years in high school. During that time, I spent countless hours helping swimmers, from ages ranging from four to 18, improve their swimming skills while also teaching them valuable skills such as teamwork, dedication and sportsmanship. I also have been a lifeguard and swim lessons instructor for over six years now, so I understand the importance of maintaining a safe environment for children, and I am CPR certified. Recently, I graduated from Syracuse University Magna Cum Laude with degrees in public relations Read more and political science. During my time at Syracuse, I was a captain of my club waterpolo team, a mentor to incoming freshmen and the president of my social sorority. I am now returning home to spend some time with my family (I am the youngest of four children), and I am looking for a fulfilling job, such as childcare, for this summer before I pursue a position in one of my areas of study. I can assure you as a caretaker I will always be responsible, thoughtful and a positive influence on your child.
