My name is Patricia R. and I'm a current college student looking for a job as a nanny. I attend to Rutgers University where I major in Psychology with a minor in Biology. I have worked for several families over the past five years and it has been a wonderful experience. I started working as part-time employee in a day care, and some couples asked me to babysit on weekends. Ever since then, I have worked for several families with children between the ages of 3 months old -10 years old. My job as a nanny is more than just providing a healthy environment for children to be around, but also help improve their cognitive and learning skills. I always try to build bond with children and make sure they enjoy to spend time with me as well. I like to plan activities such as baking cookies, build caterpillars with Read more their toes, or to make hand cards for memory games. I believe it is very important to keep children entertain while they learn. Furthermore, my job as a nanny also includes helping around the house with the kitchen, cooking healthy snacks for children and family members, cleaning up after the children and also help with the kid's laundry if necessary. I would define myself as a very trustworthy and devoted employee. I'm very friendly and easy to get alone with. I'm looking for a family who I can build a long-term relationship and help me improve as a nanny as well. Additionally, since I speak Spanish fluently I'm totally willing to teach or tutor the children. I understand many parents want their kids to be bilingual and I will do my best to help them learn as much as they can. Also, I'm an excellent swimmer. I used to be part of the swimming team in high school for three years. Therefore, pool supervision will not be an issue. I have a clean driving record and I am willing to drive whenever is necessary. I would highly recommend Patricia as a nanny/babysitter. She has been working for us for about 3 years and I have to admit she has been the best nanny we have had so far. She started working with us when my little girl was 14 months then we had a second child; she was able to take care him of since he was 3 months old. She is always engaged with my children; doing such things as arts and crafts, outdoor activities and drama. She is very trustworthy, reliable and has excellent communication skills with children. On two occasions, my husband and i had to travel for personal reasons and she stayed with the kids for 4-5 days. Patricia not only become a big sister for my little kids, but also part of our family.
