Hello! My name is Courtney and I am 25 years old. I used to live in North Jersey, and commute to NYC everyday working at a commercial real estate firm. After careful consideration and self- realization I quit my job, moved to Manahawkin full time in 2020 and decided to chase my dreams doing what I love the most, working with children! I enrolled back in college to earn a degree in elementary education. I fell in love with caring for children at about 13 years old when my neighbor would let me come over and watch her newborn, infant and pre-schooler while she was resting upstairs. Then once I went to college, I met a family through care.com and would nanny for them while I was home on winter break. They had two children, one newborn and one 2 year old. I absolutely love working with children. I am Read more young, energetic and have a very calm/gentle nature that kids tend to gravitate towards. I love staying active so I would love to keep the kids entertained by doing many different activities like crafts, singing/dancing or playing outside. I am extremely reliable and trustworthy. Working with children is a very serious job and I know how important it is to act as if they are your own. I nannied for a family for three years during the summers in LBI for three children ages 7, 9, 12. I had many responsibilities including making meals, cleaning, carpools, and each child’s daily activities. I recently nannied for a family I found on sitter city and was with them for a little over a year before they had to move back to their primary residence up north. I currently nanny for a family with two young children ages 2 & 3. I am with them full time during the week and am their right hand, helping in any and every way I can. I know people often will say anything they can to get a job, but I truly feel as if I am exactly where I am supposed to be in my life, caring for young children and helping families by being extremely flexible and reliable.
