Hello prospective families! My name is Brittany and I am 28 years old and a recent graduate student of Bryn Mawr's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I have been caregiver for the past 8 years of children ranging from newborn-12 years old with much of my experience being for families with multiple children-typically 3 or more. I currently care for a family with 2 boys through the year. I found my way into the world of babysitting while attending Rutgers University for my undergraduate degree. Babysitting gave me the flexibility I needed to complete my class requirements while also affording me the luxury of having more than just Ramen noodles for dinner. Looking back over the past 8 years, I have learned a great deal about myself and the responsibilities of caring for children. I am comfortable with animals being that I have my own pets-a Lab and a cat!  During my free time, you can find me in the library, spending time with my friends and cheering on the Eagles! I also volunteer with Children and Families First in Delaware, helping different community school directors with various tasks. My care philosophy is to try new things but always be safe and fun.  I like to encourage the children I supervise to explore different places, people and things whether it be venturing into Philadelphia and playing a game of soccer or having a picnic at the park, each day should be a day to learn and have fun!
