Hi , my name is Zayra , I’m 31 years old and I’m from Mexico. My journey started 6 years ago when I graduated from collage and decided to enter the Au Pair program. I had the luck to find a great family in New York and I stayed with them for two years. I took care of two kids , Raquel and Joshua (who were 7 and 9 y/o at the time). My tasks were helping them get ready for school, prepare their meals, do their laundry, school drop off and pick up, drive then to their extra activities, help them with homework, and playing/ hanging out with them. After that I went back to Mexico and worked in Harmon Hall (ESL school) for a year as a teacher, with children who were 7 to 10 y/o Then I came to Philadelphia and started working as a Home Caregiver Read more with a senior lady who had a stroke and half of her body was paralyzed, she wasn’t able to speak , or move, she had a tracheotomy and connected 24/7 to a ventilator. My main functions there were giving her medicine ,suctions, take her blood sugar and pressure , changing her and bathing her as well.
