I started caring for children when I entered college. I was fortunate to find a wonderful family and stay with them for the duration of 2 years before I went off to a university. I cared for their son (5 years) and daughter (7 years). During that time, I not only was a role model for them, but they were mine. When I left it was the most heart wrenching feeling but I had to go. I found a few new families that I worked with when I went away to college. Once I came home after receiving my BA, I worked for another family for several years while I prepared for an MA program. I recently graduated with my MA in developmental psychology. Now I am actively applying to enroll in a Ph.D program. Each and every family has been a blessing. I love interacting with children and being Read more a positive influence in their lives. I have a passion for what I do because I never had a big sister and I always wanted one, so now I have the opportunity to be someone else's big sister. My college career has been tailored to psychology and children. I hope to influence and help many children in my professional and nanny career.
