Hi my name is Brittany, and I would consider myself EVERYBODY’S favorite babysitter! I worked for the Ymca in Montclair for about 4 years (north east elementary school, Charles h. Bullock and New Discoveries Camp). During those years I’ve been introduced to many parents as “my favorite counselor”, I was then promoted to director of k-1 at Charles H. Bullock. I babysit for almost 10 families (this will change when I have a full time babysitting job). I am very trustworthy and I credit myself in being the babysitter that the parents and kids love equally! I make it feel more like “hanging out” than babysitting when I’m with children, meaning I love to do little science projects, arts & crafts & any hands on experiments that the kids may enjoy, keeping them engaged in other ways than them being on technology the entire time or watching tv. My skills, Read more just to list a few, include braiding hair, origamis, cooking, and cleaning. I am very crafty! As for babies, I have babysat a hand full ( ages 3 months - 9 months). When parents tell me their baby’s temperament I work with that. I always get more information on what a baby’s routine is during the day, so I never have had any troubles with babysitting. I was told that when I was just a toddler myself, I would take care of my pregnant aunts and cousins (bringing them food, tea, etc.)!! I am also CPR certified!Overall, I really just enjoy spending time with children, they make me laugh & I love to return that energy!
