Hello Everyone, My name is Micah (chosen name) and my life´s passion and work for the past 3 years have centered around teaching, growing, and learning with young people in the natural world. My first experiences teaching was with children ages 2 years- 12 years ago. Back in 2017 I was a teacher for a Forest Preschool Collective where we spent all of our school days exploring the natural world climbing boulders and harvesting flowers for tea time. After teaching for the Forest School I was then a Garden Teacher for a K-5th SFUSD Public School this past year. It was in that program that I saw a vital need for there to be a student-lead curriculum based around what each class was interested in learning. Whether I am working with small groups or children or one-on-one babysitting I put an emphasis on getting outside with children and building fairy Read more houses, creating bug forts, and even looking for worms and other friends who crawl. In addition to my teaching experience, I was a full-time nanny for an enthusiastic 4-year-old based in San Francisco. My main tasks included: Preparing his lunches, dinners, and snacks. I also helped him in the bath and completed night-time routines. Many days I would support the family by doing light laundry, grocery shopping, dishes, and more. Aside from nannying I also have a great deal of experience periodically babysitting young people ages 1 years old- 12 years old. I also feel confident in babysitting multiple children at a time with varying ages. I am currently on the Trustline Database, and I also have been trained in CPR and Infant/ Child CPR, and First Aid.
