I am 30 years old and grew up in Portland, Maine. I have been sitting for and working with children in a variety of different settings for over 12 years. I feel my wide range of experience has strengthened my ability to be an at home nanny. I have worked as a nanny for about 7 years. Before that I worked as a babysitter, at daycares, volunteered at The Root Cellars after school programs, and also worked as a kayak instructor and counselor for Rippleffect and Seaspray kayaking. This wide range of experience has given me the opportunity to work with all age groups. Educating children, whether it be math or how to share, is what I am passionate about. My sensitivity and big heart makes it easy for children to warm up to me. My consistency and dependability makes it easy for children to trust me. Danielle joined us when our daughter was 2 years old. She is now 4, and Danielle is leaving us to move back to her home state and we couldn't be sadder. We've been so lucky to have her. Danielle is punctual; I don't remember her being late even once. She is enthusiastic and adventurous, taking our preschooler to the park, the beach, the bird sanctuary, the aquarium, the museum, the markets, and the zoo, and teaching our daughter things all along the way. Danielle is dedicated; I don't remember Danielle being sick more than once in two years. She is a great cook and fun to be around. We trust her completely; she's Clare's best friend! Anyone would be thrilled to have Danielle.
