I recently moved to the San Diego area from New York City where I worked as a full-time nanny and estate manager for the past 5 years. Prior to nannying, I spent a decade acting and singing in Broadway shows like Hairspray and most recently Rock of Ages. When I wasn’t on stage, one of my greatest passions was teaching children, fostering their imagination, confidence, and providing a structure that enables them to thrive. I was offered an opportunity to nanny and manage several large estates in both the Hamptons and Manhattan and it was there I discovered my purpose was to create a safe, beautiful home for children and families. In the past ten years in between acting jobs I’ve been the manny and house manager for entertainment CEO’s, celebrities and Wall St executives where my attention to detail, management skills, and calm optimism has been recognized. As a Read more manny I have had experience with toddlers to teenagers, and was responsible for all meals, engaging with and teaching the children, making sure they do their homework and chores, keeping them active, and managing logistics around all of their extracurriculars, doctors appointments, and other activities. I taught them how to play baseball, gave swim lessons, as well as art and music lessons. I also worked with the parents to understand the values and manners on which they were working with their children and ensure I was helping reinforce these as well. I made the choice to move to California to match the pace of my lifestyle; I’m a warm, outgoing, artistic, and optimistic person and felt it was time to explore somewhere new. I'm currently a lifeguard and swim instructor for the city of Carlsbad and I hold current American Red Cross certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, and water-safety instruction. And while intro letters don’t always capture personality, I’m told by many eleven year olds I’m pretty funny but do need to work on my Minecraft and Fortnite skills. I put joy, structure, and proactivity at the center of everything I do and can’t wait to meet with you soon.
