I have an amazing 37-year-old daughter who has an Australian Shepherd that I’ve dog sat for 7 years. Prior to that, I dog sat her Pit Bull/Doberman Pincher for 12 years. In addition, I have an intelligent and athletic 29-year-old son. My children represent to me all that is good in the world and are my two true loves. They have taught me a lot about myself and life. I am a better person because of them and admire them so. I am currently a second-year doctoral student in the school psychology and counseling program at the University at Buffalo. I specialize in working with children and adolescents. Before starting graduate school, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where I worked with children and teenagers to help them develop emotion regulation and coping skills using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed approaches. In addition to my professional experience, I have years of informal babysitting experience caring for younger cousins and neighborhood children. My graduate training has given me a strong background in child development, behavior, and social-emotional support, and I pride myself on being patient, responsible, organized, and able to create a calm and positive environment for kids of different ages. I am back in Rochester for the summer and I am excited to continue working with children and supporting families.
