Hi, parents and guardians! I am a PhD student of Anthropology at UCLA and a graduate of NYU (MA in Near Eastern Studies, 2014) and Smith College (BA, 2012) with extensive childcare experience. A native New Yorker, I served as a sitter for myriad NYC children whose ages ranged from 2 weeks to 12 years (inbefore moving West. I engage children in out-of-the-box playtime, including crafting and utilizing the best of what the city and neighborhood has to offer, like museums and parks. Having traveled, lived, and worked abroad extensively, I love introducing children to multiculturalism and new languages; I speak Arabic fluently, French at an intermediate level, and beginner's Hebrew. I also have studied classical voice/opera, piano, and circus arts intensively, and love to bring my wide-ranging and creative skills to childcare! Having studied at prestigious universities, I enjoy helping kids with homework, whether it be creative writing and Read more considering our role in society or engaging with kids to improve their problem-solving skills. Social justice and community improvement are issues close to my heart, and I encourage empathy, compassion, and cross-cultural understanding. I am comfortable in the kitchen, and love finding ways for kids to get involved in meal prep, too! I look forward to meeting your family! | BOOKING POLICIES | • Because I rely on rideshares and public transport, I do not conduct meet and greets unless < 2 miles from my home. I am happy to conduct a phone interview or come early to our booking to get your kids acclimated! • I require payment for all time booked. This ensures that my schedule stays up-to-date for all families. • In order to ensure the safety of your child & my own health, all special needs, major allergies, & sick care must be mentioned at time of booking and NOT upon my arrival. I strive to provide the best care for each of my families and would hate to unknowingly expose others to communicable illnesses!
