Hi, having experience being a teacher and a caretaker for special needs students, my patience, understanding, and adaptability would enable me to not only protect the little ones; but these skills will also allow me to build an unwavering relationship with them. For reference, I have been president of Educators Rising, an organization that prepares students to become teachers in the future and as president I have had many experiences that would enable me to be an amazing addition to your team. In Educator's Rising I was given the opportunity to plan and organize several school wide trips and even implement a program that would allow students to take part in extracurricular activities with the motivation being to enhance their resumes for the future. Furthermore, through Educator's Rising I was also able to partner with Men Teach at BMCC where I taught K-12 teachers about financial wealth and how to Read more implement these important skills into their classrooms to inspire the youth to become more involved in their financial prosperity and freedom. At the beginning of my first year teaching I was exposed to more than a handful of students who had learning disorders, and even more surprised to find that these issues went unnoticed by qualified teachers. As a result of this, I began to work with groups of students who had difficulty concentrating those who had difficulty with comprehension. Through intense and creative lessons held both after school and on weekends, outside of school hours I assisted these students not only to pass but to excel through their freshman year, and from then on my passion only grew. Both my students and I’s resilience, determination, and communication allowed us to work together in an effort to put them back on track. It is important to educate and embrace children early on, and my experience being a teacher only exacerbated these ideals. After teaching high school I began to focus primarily on ages 0 month to 7 years old, as this is the perfect time to mold the minds of the future. The skills and experiences gained from this two years would in turn allow me to not only continue my passion of teaching but it would also allow me to further more students’ knowledge in spite of their roadblocks by allowing to not only learn in a manner that best suits their requirements, but also in a manner that allows them to embrace their individuality.
