Meet Sabina

I have been working with children and families in the NYC area for 19 years. During that time, I've worked with just a handful of families. I worked with each family for at least 3 years and have been with my current family for 8 years. I am very loyal and enjoy staying with a family for a long period of time, watching the children grow up from infancy to school age. I have extensive experience with infants and the daily love and care that is so important at this age. My quiet and reassuring personality allows me to soothe the fussiest babies and feed the pickiest eaters. I enjoy nannying for toddlers as well. I find that a regular schedule, lots of play and socializing, and fun activities are the keys to a happy toddler. Currently, I nanny for 1 infant, 1 preschooler, and 1 school age child. I Read more think it is important to teach preschoolers and school age children to do daily tasks independently, and I've taught my current charges to make their beds, dress themselves, and to clean up their toys after play. I am looking for a family with 1-3 young children with whom I can work with for a number of years. I am ending my job with my current families in June. The family with the infant is moving out of the area, and the family with the now school age children is transitioning to only afterschool care. The reason I have ended jobs in the past is only due to the families relocating out of the country. I have numerous excellent references which I will be happy to share with any interested families. I am interested in working in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, or Jersey City.
