My very first experience with sittercity was very disappointing. I was very nervous in taking this route to use a babysitter for my 3 children. Before she came to the interview, I asked her if she was o.k with the job description before the interview and she said yes, she will be able do it. So she came to my home for the interview and we explained everything to her and she still agreed. I also arranged for her to come and see how I get the kids ready for school and she said she will be able to handle it. I texted her my schedule for the month of November and she was suppose to start today 11/4/17. She texted me on Friday at 9:35pm "Goodnight am so sorry for,the inconvenience but I will not be able to commit to the days someone quit and they won't have anyone so it's now putting me in a position to have to choose between the two which I was running from. I know this is kinda sudden and last minute but I was just now faced with this decision." she said her job was very flexible and all I needed to do was give my schedule in advance which I did! We kindly asked her to please give us to 2 weeks notice before she leaves. When I saw her the 2nd time I made her feel welcomed and comfortable. I was very kind to her.The interview was so informal because i wanted her to feel at ease. But as parents we have a 6th sense that should not be ignored I should of went with it the 2nd time I saw her. While I was training her instead of interacting with the kids she was busy texting when I left for a few minutes, she was kinda cold. She was suppose to make my kids feel comfortable or at least get to know them. She was just there watching them, but I still decided to give her a chance. . This is all the truth nothing is made up! She is a nice person but her profile actually outshines her. Her cancelling on us really hurt but I will look at it as a positive I prayed and it all happened for a reason! We took a pay cut for missing work but my babies come first!

I hired Shan back in June 2017 for an occasional sitter. I have two children ages 4&8 and she has been wonderful with the children. My children adore her which makes me very happy. I feel comfortable leaving my children in her care. It sadden us that due to scheduling and distance she will not be with us full time. I highly recommend her to any parent as a sitter.
