Hi! My name is Nina, I am 28 years old and a native French speaker. I was born in Paris but grew up in NYC. I received my BFA and Masters in Teaching Art from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University. I moved back to NYC and since then have taught preschool French and art at La Petite Ecole, TriBeCa and then went on to teach art, grades K-7 at a Charter School in Brooklyn. I have always had an interest in Art and Design and began interning for an Interior Designer shortly after stopping teaching while also babysitting. I completely fell in love for the career and decided to get my Associates in Interior Design. I continued to babysit throughout that time (mostly because the family I worked with is very close to my heart and I have watched the kids grow up Read more over the years, I was even a teacher before being their babysitter to one of them!). I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. Throughout my years of being a caregiver I have taken children to fun things like Coney Island, The Rockaways, Museums, The Theatre, The Movies etc. and of course all those after school activities. I have always been able to help with homework whether it be in French or in English and love doing any art activity or sport as I am a very physically active person. As a caregiver the greatest number of children I have cared for is four, but I usually have been in long term commitments with families of two to three children. The most recent family I worked with I had been with for about three years. Because of Covid unfortunately everything stopped. We are still on very good terms and even facetime here and there! I have met their whole extended family since I went on a family vacation with them two summers ago which is something I also have experience doing. I am always responsible and very caring. I love children and I have a lot of patience. I am inspired by children and there is never a dull moment. Their energy is contagious and even if they are down, whether it be something at school, on the playground or at home I am always willing and able to comfort them and make them feel safe and know that everything will be okay. I believe in every child and treat them with respect. I enjoy learning from them and like teaching them new things too! Through my experiences as an educator and a caregiver I know every child is different and requires different things but at the end of the day they all need love, attention, and someone to believe in them.
