patient and caring Irish babysitter with 7 years of child care experience, based in Brooklyn. I am a 24 year old Law graduate who moved last year to New York City seeking full-time nannying work. I am a outgoing, friendly person with a positive outlook on life. I have cared for children of all ages from infants to teenagers, and throughout my final years of high school and university, I volunteered as a swimming teacher, teaching children aged 4 to 16 how to swim and perform basic life support. Due to this I am very comfortable caring for large groups of children and I am qualified in first aid. I started babysitting at age 16 when I began caring for three young children, aged 2, 5 and 9, during the summertime when I was not in school. I would usually watch them from early morning and look after them until Read more late in the evening when their parents would come home. I would plan fun things to do with the children such as going for walks, going to the local playground, planning games and going swimming. Since then I have worked for another family long term where I cared for a toddler 4 days a week. I would get her ready in the mornings, prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, schedule her nap times, play games and entertain her and get her ready for bed. I am also very comfortable around pets as I have 2 dogs of my own at home in Ireland.
