Hi! My name is Mya, I am from a very diverse cultural background with multilingual roots; with French, English, and Portuguese being my primary languages. I am a very creative individual; Currently attending Film school and in the process of getting my Bachelors. My school is in Battery park/FiDi and because of my demanding school schedule, I would be more than willing to help 3-4 times a week on select days weekdays, preferably with a flexible schedule. I am deeply rooted in understanding the mind of a child; I understand that most days are unpredictable and emotions and tensions may rise, I have practiced patience and the ability to understand their everchanging emotions at a level in which they feel comfortable and listened to; As well as slowly affirming them of any wrongdoings/lessons without crushing their self-esteem but rather growing their understanding of the world and those they interact with Read more - which I believe is very important in childcare either as the parent or caregiver. I do not have any certification In childcare but I guarantee that my ability to care if a child isn’t any less effective and is based off of my real-time hands on experience. I am happy to help with homework, prepare snacks as well engage in activities with them such as taking them on walks, to parks and nearby play dates If needed. My past experiences with kids has been nothing but pleasant on all fronts. I established trust, I am a good communicator and accessible at anytime throughout my stay. The children have fun, get any necessary work/projects done on time and are satisfied after the visits!I can guarantee that your child will feel safe, cared for and as though they have someone to confide in or otherwise someone to just play with. As well as you, the parent(s) feeling the relief that they are in good hands!
