Hello, I took time off from classroom preschool/Kindergarten Montessori teaching to lead a learning pod. I gained experience with babies through babysitting and being a mother myself (2 teen daughters). I have local references from Brooklyn, and am looking to fill Mondays . I tutor reading and ukulele midweek, and do private care on Fridays for a Toddler. I have degrees in Human Development and Family studies, Liberal Studies, and Montessori philosophy. Due to pandemic, I stepped away from regular classroom work and am working privately with a few families from my previous school. I enjoy children of all ages, and feel knowledgable of developmental stages in infants. Working along side parents has been a large part of my career as Montessori teachers consider a child's family to be of utmost importance. I believe I have a calm demeanor, but will delight in the ways of the child. I am Read more comfortable speaking in full sentences to an infant, and sharing the aspects of the day. Time away from regular teaching has been dynamic and rewarding. Spending time and working in someones home has allowed me to get to know the children I care for in a fuller way. We spend time doing more of what the child is interested in, and build helpful relationships with parents for the sake of the child.
