Hi! I'm Natalie, an Equity stage manager with well over a decade of childcare experience. My superpower is that every child I've ever met takes to me immediately--even kids who don't normally like new people! I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster. I live in Brooklyn (right next to Prospect Park), but I'm from the Philadelphia area originally, with a brief childhood stint in the San Francisco area. I pride myself on making the world's best grilled cheese, a skill I'm happy to demonstrate for your child(ren). If grilled cheese isn't their thing, I have plenty of other recipes up my sleeve. I've worked with kids from newborn through age 14, including children and teenagers with special needs, and have cared for up to six children at a time. I love fostering creativity in kids, whether that be via arts and crafts (I was a Girl Scout for Read more 14 years), imagination play, or performing (I spent seven years as the staff choreographer for a youth theatre camp in the Philadelphia area). I am happy to sit in-home, or to take kids on outings (as a former full-time Manhattan nanny I have a pretty good handle on kid-friendly places in the city). I love animals (I have two cats, Phoebe and Hecate, and love dogs but don't have one) and don't have any allergies. In addition to babysitting, I also offer lessons in needle arts (crochet, cross stitch, knitting) a handful of sports (softball, tennis, bowling), and beginner level in several instruments (piano, mallet percussion, flute, ukulele). If you have pets that need care during a sit, that can also be arranged!
