I have been working as a part time and full time nanny and tutor since January 2021. I am a qualified and certified teacher with a Master's degree in Education, but for personal reasons, I have decided not to work in a school setting and because of my love for working with children, prefer to work as a nanny. I find myself to families with school aged children where my knowledge of the of the NYC Department of Education curricula and learning standards, puts me in a position to help with homework and any academic and social difficulties/challenges and my knowledge of child development helps me create age appropriate enrichment activities and games. I have worked as a nanny with children from the ages 16 months old to 12 and my duties have included but not been limited to: picking children up from school, taking children to after school activities, Read more play dates, playgrounds, parks, preparing snacks, drinks and dinner, cleaning up sleep and play areas, doing laundry, creating indoor and outdoor games and activities based on the children's likes and interests, bathing and bedtime preparation. I respect and incorporate the parents' wants and wishes in terms of behavior, diet, etc in my play and interaction with the children. I started working with children when I volunteered to teach Religious Instruction when I was 19 years old. Since then I have worked with children in home and school settings in the UK, Belgium and now here in the US. I am fully vaccinated (March 28 and April 25, 2021) and have received one booster vaccine (October 25, 2021).
