I graduated from the University of Vermont 6 years ago with a degree in psychology and a minor in math. I recently just completed my fourth year of graduate school at Pace University studying school and clinical child psychology. I have about 12 years of caregiving experience in a number of different settings. My more recent experience was working as an instructor at a school for children with autism. I have also worked as an Au Pair abroad for a family in Italy with 3 children (ages 6 months, 1 year, and 7 years), nannied for a family with a 6 month old and a 2 year old, and I am currently doing some occasional babysitting for a number of local families. Most of the families I have babysat for in the past have had either two or three children and their ages range from 6 months to 10 years Read more old. I have previously worked as a camp counselor for about 6 years with children between the ages of 5 and 12. I also have experience with children in other settings including assisting with children's birthday parties, teaching a hula hoop class, and working in a school. I am comfortable with pets and have a golden retriever of my own. I love arts and crafts and spending time outdoors. I consider myself very creative and always find a game or project to engage the children in. Although I love having fun with the children, safety is always my number one priority. I always enforce household rules and routines. I have my license and my own transportation. With all my experience with children, I have seen almost everything and can handle almost anything!
