Meet Katharine

As a childcare provider, my goal is always to establish a genuine emotional connection with kids I take care of, so that they can trust and feel safe around me. I put a premium on patience with and listening to children. I have seven years of paid experience babysitting for children of all ages, and throughout the past four years I've lived in New York have worked as a nanny and occasional babysitter for several families here. I've worked as an art teacher and a camp counselor and I love helping kids with visual projects or in any of their creative endeavors. Safety is always my biggest priority when babysitting. I am reliable, observant, empathetic, and patient. In my past experience, my responsibilities have included school drop-off and pick-up, arranging play dates, tutoring and helping with homework, planning activities and trips to museums, grocery shopping, preparing meals, tidying kid's rooms, Read more giving baths, and putting kids to bed. I'm a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where I studied painting and art history, and enjoy reading and making paintings.
