My name is Hannah and friends say I'm a thoughtful, caring, creative, and artistic person. I recently graduated with honors from Columbia University, where I studied English, Psychology, and Buddhism, and received my Bachelor's degree in English Literature. Since then, I have been working alternately as a writer, assistant, tutor, and childcare provider. In addition to childcare, this spring I am teaching an afterschool mindfulness workshop for children, as well as volunteering with a local non-profit. Working with children has been the most rewarding job I have yet to find. Though an only child, I have a large family that I am very close with. I usually spend one day a week playing in Prospect Park with my two young cousins. I've been tutoring, teaching, counseling and babysitting children since I was a little more than a kid myself (through different camps, schools, and outreach programs). I've had experience as a Read more nanny for many families (two with infants under 6-months old, another three with families who each had two siblings in elementary school) and have been babysitting consistently for one family for the past ten years.  My friends describe me as very active and full of energy. On weekends and in my spare time I enjoy going for bike rides, playing soccer in the park with friends, going for runs, swimming, hiking, and working on my daily yoga and meditation practices. When given the opportunity, I'll leap at the chance to go camping. I love to play music and am learning the guitar. Reading (and learning of any kind, really) is also one of my greatest passions- so if we meet you can be sure I'll always have at least one book in my bag (at the moment, it's D.H. Lawrence's 'Women in Love,' and 'The Four Agreements' by Don Miguel Ruiz).
