I am a bilingual, Brooklyn-based editor and writer with a B.A. in history and sociology from Yale University, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin, and Ph.D. in History from the University of Pittsburgh. I am a Renaissance soul at heart. I have moonlighted as a paralegal, campus administrator, family outreach worker and teacher. All these different positions are connected by a deep commitment to helping and caring for others. In fact, I have been working with children in some capacity since I was 10 myself. I taught arts and crafts to HIV positive children for 5 years, tutored children of incarcerated parents, worked as a camp counselor, as a teacher at a day care center for homeless children and as a family outreach worker at Head Start.
