Greetings! My name is Shanna Battin, and I am a 25-year-old female currently living in Cheektowaga, NY with my husband and our two goldendoodle puppies. I am fond of the Buffalo area and have enjoyed living here since graduating cum laude from the undergraduate Natural Science - Health Science specialization program at Daemen College. I plan to remain in the Buffalo area for at least four more years until my husband completes DDS degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. I currently work part-time as a nanny on Tues/Thurs/Sat, and I have significant babysitting experience with children ranging from 1-12 years old. I also have experience serving as a tutor and academic counselor to middle-school aged students. My college studies included information on early childhood through young adult development and psychology, which enables me to understand and address the specific developmental needs of children of all ages. Although my babysitting and CPR certifications are currently expired, I have had both renewed several times, and am confident with the information; I would be willing to renew one or both certifications if requested. I would love to keep them engaged in active activities rather than simply watching television or playing video games. I own a Lincoln MKZ, and would be able to provide transportation as needed.
