Hello! My name is Deanne Mitchell. I earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University over ten years ago. I am a licensed mental health counselor working with both adults and children. In addition to working as a mental health counselor I also work part-time for VIPKid teaching English as a second language. I have become very familiar with the online platform. VIPKid is virtual teaching so I have gained experience in engaging children virtually. Following the COVID-19 outbreak I also have been offering virtual therapy sessions to my mental health clients. I have discovered and developed many activities I utilize with children to keep their attention. My experience with children doesn't end there; I also have five children of my own. Due to COVID-19 I am working in the office less as I need to stay home with my children.
