Hi, my name is Crystal and I am 25 years young : ) I moved to the area in June '10 on base from an apt in Alexandria for a year. My husband is an MP stationed at Fort Myer and we plan to be here until July '12. I am a very friendly, social, fun loving person who enjoys taking care of people and making them happy. I do not have any children of my own, hoping to start a family in the next couple of years when my husband and I are back home settling down.  I have been certified in CPR/First Aid about 5 times and took Responding to Emergencies in college but I think my most recent certification ran out. When we moved I had to quit my job, which was for the State of NY in a group home for the mentally disabled and had to Read more keep my certifications up to date and had finger printing and a background check done. My duties for that job included cooking, packing lunches, feeding, bathing, passing meds, keeping track of their personal finances, personal hygiene, grooming, going on outings, etc. It definetly was the job for me as I love connecting with people and it taught me to have a great deal of patience. My college courses Developmental and also Child Psychology both gave me great knowledge on how the brain is developing at different ages, most efficient ways to discipline, etc. Very interesting classes everyone in child care should have to take! I am trying to see what's out there right now, would prefer to watch in my home as the neighborhood is secure. I'm not too familiar with the area but watching the news makes me afraid to babysit in unfamiliar areas, but am open to exploring different options. I look forward to meeting you!
