Professional Profile: For as long as I can remember I have loved to take care of children. As early as 12 years old, I began babysitting in my neighborhood, eager to help with young children. When I turned 18 years of age I choose to become a full time Nanny. I went through college to get my Degree in the medical field, something that I found a passion in, helping others. Summary of Typical Nanny Duties: For all of my Families, I provide dedicated and compassionate care. This includes: · Clean the kitchen and children's areas as needed with focus on sanitary standards · Prepares healthy children meals and snacks · Oversight of safety of the child/children Emphasis on infant Care: · Get children accustomed to regular schedule, especially babies · Creates a daily log for all children details · Maintains sanitary conditions for all high usage items Encourage Parents involvement: · Emphasis on open communication with all parents · Shares pictures to both parents so they have an increased involvement · Administer medications with the parents permission · Provides fair and direct discipline in accordance with the parents wishes Plans creative and educational activities, organized into different themes: · For example ocean units which combine fish identification with sand crafts, outings and counting activities, motor skill development · Morning circles to teach daily concepts such as days of week, colors, shapes and numbers · Daily outdoor walks with an educational component such as tree rubbing, collecting rocks and items for personal memory books
